Christmas Series: Painting the Town Red

Hi guys! So this is the first of my Christmas Series. Christmas is most people’s favourite time of the year and I’m no different. I absolutely love everything about Christmas. The goodies, gifts, decorations, family time, everything!

Also, let’s take a moment and appreciate how the colour Red has made it big this year! I’m not usually a fan of bright colours, I prefer to stick to neutrals. But this year, I’ve been seeing red everywhere! From red hair to red jackets and red bags, it’s taken the fashion world by storm.

So for this look, I’ve incorporated reds pretty much in every element. If like me, you shy away from bright colours too, try them out this Christmas season because what better excuse to wear red than Christmas?

My top is a black T-shirt with a caged neckline with red and green rose patches on either side. This design has been pretty common all year around but to me, it looked very Christmassy because of the red and green and so I decided to use it in my Christmas Series.

For bottoms, I went with this red mini skirt that has been in my closet for over 8 years now (Yes, I’m still the same size I used to be back then). My mom picked this up for me from a Reliance Trends outlet back then and I always found it too bright to wear so this is actually the first time I put it on in 8 years.

It adds that perfect pop of red that every Christmassy outfit should have! And now that Red is trending, I will definitely wear it in the new year. For shoes, I stuck to my good old Brogues from h&m.

Now let’s talk about my bag. Yes, that is a Givenchy Antigona. No, it isn’t mine. It’s my mom’s bag. There’s no possible way I could afford something as luxurious as that, but I went ahead and borrowed it for this look because it went really well with the outfit. There are, however, some really good dupes for the same. Do check out the links below to see what dupes I’ve found.

For accessories, I kept it very simple and threw on a burgundy knit beret. Berets are really having a thing right now and since mine is a knitted one, works perfectly for the chilly Christmas season.

So yes, that’s pretty much it. This outfit works perfectly for Christmas Shopping, or a casual Christmas event that you’re attending or a night on the town.

Big shoutout to the guy behind these beautiful pictures, Shirish Khedekar. Do have a look at his Instagram profile. It’s got an amazing aesthetic appeal to it.

And don’t forget to follow me on all my social media!

Have an amazing weekend guys! And an awesome festive season as well. See you in my next post!

Xo,

Nyeree.
