Life in Greyscale

Hi everyone! I hope you guys are doing well. This post is all about how to wear shades of black and white in the summer. Although the color palette of my outfit is more of a fall palette, I wore this in the summer because I love how the outfit contrasts with the vibrant colors of Goan summers. This outfit is very wearable and can be worn on dates, brunches, or even at casual parties. It is a casual look, however it’s slightly on the dressier side.

The top I wore is a long sleeves black and white striped top from Forever 21. I absolutely adore this top because it is so versatile and can be paired with SOOO many pieces. Trust me, the possibilities are endless. When I have less time on my hands, I usually grab this top and pair it with shorts, denims, skirts, jackets- basically anything I can get my hands on!

To give the outfit a dressier and feminine edge, I paired the top with a gray quilted skater skirt that I also picked up at Forever 21. I usually wear fishnet or sheer stockings with this one because it’s a little short, but I decided not to because of the humid weather.

To finish off the outfit, I wore classic black brogues that I bought from H&m. This helped add an androgynous touch to the outfit along with a little class and sophistication. They also have a slight heel that adds height to my short frame, which is something I look for in all my shoes. I’m not a fan of flats because I feel extremely tiny in them. So that’s one of the reasons I love these shoes. Another reason is because they’re so sturdy and comfortable to walk in.

For accessories, I decided to go with the bare minimum and wore a couple of gold bangle bracelets from Westside.

I loved how this outfit turned out. Simple, yet sophisticated and elegant. Feminine, yet edgy. I hope you guys liked it too. If you want to achieve a similar look, I will link the items (or similar items) down below. Until next time!
